MID-AMERICA CABINETS EARNS ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM (ESP) CERTIFICATION FROM KCMA

(GENTRY, AR) – Mid-America Cabinets has received the Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) certification from Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) in recognition of its efforts toward more sustainable, environmentally sensitive manufacturing and products.
            "Mid-America participated in the ESP certification process to demonstrate its commitment to eco-friendly cabinet products," says Rob Sample, one of MAC's owners. "The multi-family construction industry is rapidly increasing its demand for innovative solutions to environmental challenges. ESP has sharpened our resolve to meet our customer's needs in this crucial area."
            ESP, the only environmental certification program for the kitchen and bath cabinet industry, was developed by KCMA to help cabinet manufacturers lead the way in environmental responsibility. As part of ESP certification, manufacturers earn points by using wood from sustainable forestry and selective harvesting programs, using low formaldehyde emitting products, recycling, conserving energy, educating suppliers, and showing involvement in their community.
