MID-AMERICA CABINETS MANUFACTURES KCMA-CERTIFIED HUD SEVERE USE CABINETS
(GENTRY, AR) – Building on the popularity of its all-wood Mesa line, Mid-America Cabinets (MAC) has transitioned into the manufacturing of HUD Severe Use cabinets that are in demand for both new construction and rehabilitation of many government-funded multi-family projects.
MAC's HUD Severe Use line has received certification by Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA), the only certifying organization for the Severe Use cabinet. KCMA uses the September 1993 HUD specifications as the basis for its demanding cabinet review and testing.
"In the past year, much interest and confusion has been generated around HUD Severe Use cabinets," says Rob Sample, one of MAC's owners. "As Housing Authorities, general contractors and cabinet sales representatives scramble to find reliable Severe Use cabinets, we believe the KCMA certification is the most reliable way to confidently move forward is this fast-growing market segment."
Since entering the Severe Use market, Mid-America has been dedicated to cost-effective, performance-oriented solutions. While their Severe Use cabinet spec must meet KCMA standards, MAC is also willing to customize certain specifications based on regional, Housing Authority or architect preferences.
